     Although I've been a Sting fan since the debut of the first album The Police did back in 1978, it had been over 25 years since I had seen him perform. I really didn't know what to expect, especially when you throw in some Shaggy. My curiosity was piqued.

     

Opening this leg of their joint tour at one of our favorite venues to shoot in, Daily's Place in Jacksonville, FL, we couldn't miss the opportunity to cover this show. It was a only a two-song soundboard shoot but we made the most of it. By the time the opening song "Englishman in New York" had finished, the fans knew that they were in for a special treat. It only took that one song for me to realize that Sting is as good as he ever was! Sting was on top of his game and he and Shaggy had great chemistry on stage.

The duo was supported by a crew of stellar musicians and they packed in 29 songs including six from The Police, eight from Sting solo, six from Shaggy, and nine from the newest release with Shaggy. I personally would have liked them to close their set with a more upbeat song but "Fragile" remains a fan favorite.
