The warm Fall temps was nothing compared to the Fire raging in Central Illinois with Godsmack and Shinedown performing full sets at the Peoria Civic Center along with guests Red Sun Rising. Fans from all over the Midwest made their ways to the area to take in an awesome lineup that 105.7 put together for their Fall Frenzy. Kicking off the season right.

Red Sun Rising

Hailing from Akron, Ohio this rock band opened up the show playing a thirty minutes set but definitely set the tone for the evening to come.  Lead Vocalist/Guitarist Mike Protich, Lead guitar Ryan Williams, Rhythm guitarist Dave McGarry, Bassist Ricky Miller and Drummer Pat Gerasia opened up with "Clarity", and played hits "The Otherside" and the fan favorite "Emotionless". Closing the set with "Deathwish". Even though the set was short and sweet their sound was unique. Their description of music style is simple #WeAreThread indicating that many many genres that make up the blanket of their sound.

Shinedown

Jacksonville Florida band Shinedown has exploded on the scene and has dominated the airwaves with lyrics and a sound that can only be described as inspiring. Lead Vocalist Brent Smith, Lead Guitarist Zach Myers, Bassist Eric Bass and Drummer Barry Kerch took the stage to open their full set with "Sound of Madness" and "Diamond Eyes". Brent's message through out the show can only be truly experienced in person. Their hit "Bully" hitting home for so many followed by "Get Up" made the perfect transition in the set. The true moment for the evening was when Brent and Zach vanished from the stage only to reappear at the back of the Civic Center when the lights came up to the sounds of Lynard Skynyrd's "Simple Man".

Godsmack

Starting out in Lawrence, Massachusetts Lead Vocalist and Rhythm Guitarist Sully Erna, Bassist Robbie Merrill, Lead Guitarist Tony Rombola and Drummer Shannon Larkin closed up with their own full set to flames, lights, driving lyrics and a sound that has been gaining a following since the mid-1990's. Opening with "When Legends Rise" and "Keep Away" right after a small little cover of Pantera's "Walk" these Platinum rockers delighted fans with a stage show that had fans in awe. Songs "Voodoo" and "Bulletproof" had fans singing making the whole Civic Center rumble Closing with Joe Walsh's "Rocky Mountain Way" Shinedown's Zach Myers joining the stage and finally their encore "I Stand Alone" however they were far from alone as the crowd was left wanting so much more. The upcoming Fall shows have a hard act to follow this year.
