A look ahead to the upcoming 4th Annual Autumn Equinox Music & Arts Festival to be held September 25 & 26, 2015 in Croyden, New Hampshire.
Let's go back in time to revisit the last festival of summer, held in late September 2014 at The Page Farm - a spacious, well-tended outdoor venue just a stones throw from the
Vermont border.
More after the jump...
Returning this year to the Fourth Annual Autumn Equinox Music Festival is The New Riders of the Purple Sage !!
Featuring original members: David Nelson & Buddy Cage with Michael Falzarano (Hot Tuna), Johnny Markowski (Stir Fried/JGB) and Ronnie Penque (Stir Fried/JGB/Ripple)
The Page Farm is located on 70 acres of open fields and wooded trails in a quiet corner of the Lake Sunapee region of New Hampshire. |
Yaks are fairly rare in North America. |
The Page Farm is a family-owned working farm. |

Headlining Saturday night is The New Riders of the Purple Sage - “the original space cowboys”. |

The Kind Buds - Free-Range Acoustic Jam Duo |
Charlie Keating Band |
Charlie Keating Band - Charlie could be compared to Clapton and Buddy Guy, Yes - he is that good. |
Although you're welcome to "BYOB", the Page's have worked hard to reclaim the fields, stone walls and forest - so strictly no glass allowed. Thank You! |
With the changing seasons it may get a little cool at night but the weather forecast is looking good this year. |
Wooded Campgound - FREE camping included with Weekend and Day Passes |
Mad Kings - Jimmy Law |
Mad Kings - Very talented band from Point Pleasant, NJ will be returning again in 2015. |
Getting back to last year - The Garcia Project,
The Kind Buds, Skyfoot, and the Charlie Keating Blues Band all delivered to the
small but kind minded Saturday crowd. Mad Kings, fronted by the
remarkably versatile and talented 15 year old Jimmy Law and Steen Schmidt,
displayed unexpected prowess.
Skyfoot |
The Garcia Project - performs full, classic show set lists from the Jerry Garcia Band from the 70's, 80's and 90s. |
The Garcia Project's Mik Bondy – Guitar & Vocals |
Buddy Cage - NRPS Original member |
Johnny Markowski - NRPS |
David Nelson - NRPS |
The crowd surged forward when the New Riders hit the stage opening with the
Robert Hunter/David Nelson composition, “Where I Come From”. Vocals throughout
the evening were shared by original member guitarist David Nelson, guitarist
Michael Falzarano, and bassist Ronnie Penque. Pedal steel guitarist Buddy Cage
looked great and sounded spectacular, his trademark psychedelic bubbling growl
and whine weaving through crowd pleases including the traditional “Henry” and
the blazing final number “Dead Roses”.
Ending well after midnight, the live music heard at the Page Farm truly
was the last of Summer 2014. We are looking forward to a repeat of an
equally outstanding Annual Autumn Equinox Music & Arts Festival in 2015.
