The second weekend of September will truly be an exciting spectacle
in central Virginia. The rural town of
Arrington will be turned into a rockin' festival of epic proportions when the annual
Lock’n festival returns for a four day celebration of musical improvisation and
collaboration.

The Lock’n festival has
consistently featured one of the best
rock and roll and jamband lineups of the
summer, and this year’s event is no different.
Fans will be excited to see multiple sets from The String Cheese
Incident including a collaboration with The Doobie Brothers, Widespread Panic
including a collaboration with Jimmy Cliff, and Phil Lesh and Friends including
as set with Carlos Santana and Warren Haynes.
Other notable acts are Robert Plant and the Sensational Shapeshifters,
Billy and The Kids, Umphrey’s McGee, Trombone Shorty and Orleans Avenue and
many more. The Core Four members of the
Grateful Dead will all be performing separately, but that leaves the potential
for exciting sit-ins. The Lock’n
Festival also emphasizes local food and beer and will have an expansive craft
vendor village. Apart from the music,
there will be activities such as disc golf, yoga, and even a swimming hole. This
will be the festival’s third year in existence and it is looking to be the best
year yet, so get ready.
Tickets are onsale for $285. Camping and parking
passes are sold separately.
