It
was the worst Nashville winter in years and as the Jack Pearson Trio
began to play it was snowing again. Mayor Dean had urged everyone to
stay off the roads that night but for Jack's loyal fans that meant
nothing.
Jack had recently
graced the stage of the Ryman, sitting in with the Tedeschi Trucks
band. The “In Memory of Elizabeth Reed” they played was
especially beautiful. But that is perfectly understandable given the
years Jack spent as a lead guitar player for the Allman Brothers. He
has played with an impressive list of artists from Earl Scruggs to
Greg Allman. Chet Atkins called him “very sophisticated” and
Greg Allman says he “Is the Tops”.
And that snowy night
in Nashville he played his heart out for his loyal fans that braved
the weather to turn out for him, with that sophisticated “Jack
Pearson” style. Going from rip-roaring rock, to intense blues, to
laid back jazz in a display of musicianship that illustrated what
Greg Allman said....
Jack Pearson is
Tops”
