It was musical photography feast time
in Nashville last night! Three venue's, 6 bands were on the table.
Second course was served at Notable
Blends, a very personal, intimate venue with the best coffee and food
one could hope for. Hosted by Tony Gerber, the main course was a
special appearance of Emi Sunshine and the Rain.
Emi Sunshine, at only 10 years old has
already had a career start that those three times her age could only
hope for. In March her today show appearance got the attention of
Marty Stuart who showcased her on his Late Night Jam in June at the
Ryman Auditorium. Which lead to her debut appearance at the Grand Ole
Opry in August. The stage presence reminiscent of June Carter, the
voice of , well to tell the truth is her voice is unique. Sultry yet
innocent, she can yodel out a Jimmy Rogers song like no one else. A
high point of the show was when a train whistle sounded close by,
which led to an impromptu cover of Folsom Prison Blues (I hear the
Train a coming...). This young lady is definitely going places!
