Jim Lauderdale (song writer, singer, poet and arguably the 'King of Americana') opened up the Americana Music Conference and Festival week with a screening of "The King of Broken Hearts", a documentary by Jeremy Dylan and Chris Kamen on Jim's life.
The invitation only screening was held in the conference room of SESAC on Monday, September 15th with an industry and media only preview of 'King of Broken Hearts' This film captures the essence of Jim Lauderdale being what the Americana genre is all about. Jim's story is told through on camera interviews with him, Elvis Costello, Buddy Miller John Oates and more.
