When the Eli Young Band throws a CD release party, they really throw a party. Playing to an overpacked house at Cowboy's Dancehall in San Antonio, from the moment the took the stage until the end of the night, they kept the crowd rockin'! The show was definitely high engery entertainment. The group jumped all over stage, the drummer Chris Thompson, flailed his arms around his head and never dropped a stick, and lead singer Mike Eli totally engaged with the crowd, there was never a dull moment. There were amazing opportunities for some great shots.

Steely Dan sells out Fontanel!!
Story/photos by Butch Worrell
Steely Dan’s , Donald Fagen (vocals, keyboards) and Walter Becker (guitar), embarked on their “Shuffle Diplomacy” tour, stopped by Nashville’s Woods at Fontanel, drawing the biggest crowd of the season yet for this new venue. Self-styled as “Jazz-Rock ambassadors to the Galaxy, they showed the crowd just why they have enjoyed 40 years of musical success. It was a great show on a beautiful late summer evening. They are still on the road so be sure to catch them while you can.
